The duties and responsibilities of the Training Coordinator will include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate the overall logistics for the training institute, which includes managing; bookings, travel arrangements, invitations, budgets, training related queries, fleet management, and payment of suppliers.
  • Compile and manage the training calendar and create training schedules.
  • Manage the E-learning process and the database administration
  • Manage the tracking of service level agreements.  
  • Resource management which includes; ordering and management of stationary and materials as well as the printing, storage and dissemination of training materials.
  • Administration which includes; taking minutes of meetings, filing of all programme documents and correspondence, record keeping of training, and the courier and postage of documents.
  • Networking in order to maintain regular communication with external key stakeholders in complementary fields and liaise closely with programme administrators and training officers.
  • Maintaining the learner database, ensuring data integrity, verifying information from learner enrolment to certification.
  • Assist in completing tender applications with supporting documents upon request.
  • Uphold and exemplify NACOSA, its vision, mission, values and objectives by behaving in accordance with NACOSA's Code of Conduct and promoting NACOSA's values through positive leadership and effective communication.

Requirements:

Required qualifications, skills and experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in health science, Education or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role 
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Education and Training practices
  • Good knowledge and experience working on a learning management system (LMIS)
  • Attention to detail, concern for order, quality and accuracy
  • Good team player and able to work well under pressure
  • Able to work independently; unsupervised
  • Good interactive skills (telephonically) with clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Display a sense of urgency and able to deliver upon defined strategic outcomes.
  • Good command of written and spoken English (good writing skills are critical as part of assessment reporting)
  • Willingness to travel extensively and a valid South African Driver’s license.
